As we approach the Lord’s Table this morning, we see in Matthew 27:35-44 the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in all its wickedness. And this morning I would like for us to see the wicked people, the wicked words, and finally against the backdrop of all the evil,we must remember how the crucifixion displayed the wondrous love of Jesus. So, this morning, we will see the greatest expression of human evil known to man combined with the greater expression of love known to man.
When the Lord is our focus and vision He becomes the Lord of our hearts who calms our fears.
The will of God is always bigger than we bargain for. But we must believe that whatever it involves it is good, acceptable and perfect. What does it mean to be growing in the fruit of goodness?
